As usual, I post today as well, to remind readers to wish me happy birthday :P
Anyway, this year, I have received more wishes than previous 3 years combined, courtesy Orkut ji. Thankfully, the spectrum of wishes spread across from orkut scraps to facebook posts to sms to phone :-) I have been blessed, it seems.
A msg from an old schoolfriend reminded me of schooldays. When the birthday, the special day, was heralded with much enthusiasm and excitement as we got to wear non-school uniform clothes on those days. Though, from what I remember, I was not so enthu abt wearing casuals to school in later years, but it was still a special thing. And before the first class began, everyone used to sing the birthday song for you. And you distributed exactly one toffee to each of ur classmates and two to your teacher (maybe more if you happened to be generous). And this happened for every class on that day. And now, it all looks soooo funny!! :D I do remember, I used to love Melody the most and that was the one I always distributed :D
Thanks for all the wishes, friends. :-) I had a really nice day, all the way from traditional cake-cutting to shopping for clothes! :-)
p.s. No relation to the post though, but Orkut says in my Today's fortune : You and your wife will be happy in your life together. Hmmm.. Hahaha.

I loved melody too, but I used to distribute coffee bite to all my classmates to save bucks, and poppins to teachers to create a good impression :)

I must mention I too had similar experiences in school...plus the birthday girl had to endure the embarassment of being kissed by teachers...most of them wearing redh! lipstick...ewwww
And all my not-so-good friends were my buddys on that day!! courtesy-munch!!...heheheh! :D
hehehe.. yeah, it happens! And here in college, where one gets bumps on birthday, your not-so-good friends become your buddies and beat you up as well!
